Mercedes X-Class Teaser Release

Set to officially debut on July 18th, Mercedes has released a teaser video of the X-Class beforehand, just giving us a few glimpses of the truck's exterior design to wet our appetites.

Mercedes has been keeping the mid-size pickup truck's specifications to themselves, but we do know that it'll be built on a rugged body-on-frame platform, the same one underpinning both the Nissan Navara and Renault Alaskan. Though for the pickup, we can expect to see a more luxurious interior and a unique suspension tune.

As for its powertrain, CarScoops is expecting to see a few four and six-cylinder engine offerings with rear-wheel drive as standard and all-wheel drive as an additional option. That's all the information we were able to gather since the X-Class concept debuted in October of 2016.

But with its debut date approaching, we're treated to a short teaser showing off the truck's sleek body lines. We can also catch glimpses of a vertical grille, LED headlights and taillights, a chunky sports bar behind the cabin and a silver skid plate. Complementing the X-Class's bulging fenders are a set of alloy wheels and the chrome door handles are paired with metallic window trim.

So far there's still no word about the truck's availability in the United States, but maybe their answer will change at the upcoming reveal.
